I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread on how we all get our forum names!  I have noticed some unusual names to say the least and wondered what the story behind them might be if there is one. I have been on the forum for nearly 3 months now and haven't noticed a thread asking the same thing, if their has been then please accept my apology. I have also put this under 'General Pet Chat' as I wasn't really sure what it would fall under. I'll start: CurlyCub was because Jess has curly fur and she's still a puppy. I liked the idea of Cub rather than Pup because it is two C's rather than one. Also I knew she wouldn't be a puppy forever so I thought cub worked more even though that is in effect a puppy in the wild  Before the new forum I tried to join the old one but never recieved the email. I tried twice with names: CurlyTops and CurlyWurly. Guess I just like the Curly thing  |

Hmmm not sure how Scallywag came about really, it was kind of a pet name used many years ago, but I am on another forum and have a completely different type of name Known as Guess.....  |

Mine is boring, I'm Toni & there already was a Toni when I joyed the old YC forum so added the first letter of my surname! I subsequently have joined other forums/sites & have a couple of other usernames (quite different) but decided when this forum started up to continue with the one YC forum members knew. The one I had from years ago on another completely different forum is probably one that might describe me more but I'll leave that for another time, unless you know your H. Rider Haggard!!! gladys is a nickname that my dad give me and has called me from when I was very ickle. His the only one that calls me it. It's part of my email address and as you don't get many people called gladys on forums it has always been my username on the forums I join. |
