She's a cutie. The books I have read say wake up every 3 hours to let puppy go out to toilet during the night but I know two people that did this with their dogs as puppies and are still having to do it now and the dogs are 6 and 10 years old!! With my boy Cooper I just did late nights and early morning. Last pee at midnight and then first pee at 6am. We only had one wee and poop waiting for us in the morning that soon stopped and so did the 6am wake up calls. Anyhoo, enjoy your puppy and keep sharing the photos.

Is she still getting on well, karin? Thanks for asking. I took her for her free vet check up this morning and they thought she was a bit underweight and empty feeling. Have been told to try and kick start her appetite with scrammbled egg which I did with huge succes! I am hoping she wil still eat Science Plan later though. Otherwise the vet was happy with her and second jabs booked for next week. She is wonderful!!!

That's great to hear that Bindi is doing well. Wilson was the same - didn't eat much over the first few days - but he now has a huge appetite!!

Bindi is absolutely adorable! A word of advice regarding her weight. Science Plan is not the best of foods. I'm only saying this because Finley was fed on a dry kibble and remained underweight for a long time before being moved onto a better food. You may find after a while that when it comes to food, a lot of people don't listen to their vet. Seems strange, but then a lot of vets stock the food they recommend, and then you might buy it from them (and they charge more!) You did a good thing ignoring her in the crate. A lot of people make the mistake of trying to comfort their dog, and this only teaches the dog 'when you howl, I cuddle you, so keep howling!' ignoring is the way to go! I bet you'll have so much fun with her Cockapoos are well known to be very good family pets. Because she's got Cocker Spaniel in her, you could start playing scent-driven games with her, hiding treats etc for her to find!
