Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I think I got all the cards I was expecting prior to today. I even got a Royal Mail delivery today of some flowers from a friend who didn't know (as I didn't until yesterday's news) that Royal Mail are supposed to be on strike for these 2 days. However she did say that on a previous strike day she'd got mail & talking to her postman it was only sections of Royal Mail taking strike action on each day. In that case the mail delivery staff were working but the night staff weren't. They may also have prioritised the flowers as the box was marked perishables. I had one present delivered last week but didn't open it until today & was really pleased at what it was. As I took it out of its box I realised that I'd completely forgotten that when I'd seen my friends down south after I lost Roman, I'd seen it in a garden centre & said how much I liked it & they had suggested I might like for a present!!! Apparently when they'd seen it again & they had really liked it so got it for me.
