I've placed my 1st order with zooplus since December & the value of the order was more than enough to get free delivery via DPD. As we are no longer part of the EU when I saw this on the DPD tracking details today I was a bit concerned that there might be customs charges which would need to be collected as has happened when I've had orders from non-EU countries in the past.
I phoned zooplus this morning & queried this & they reassured me that I wouldn't have anything to pay as it was all included in the order (presumably the prices)
I must admit that DPD's tracking is rather weird. On the tracking link from zooplus which takes me to dpd.de it has 2 detail lines I would have thought that the details would be the other way around as Oldbury is the/one of DPD's main hub(s) in the UK so I would have expected the parcel to get there after the order details had been transmitted to DPD!
Also going to DPD.co.uk tracking it shows I placed the order Tuesday afternoon (2nd March) & then got an email from zooplus Wednesday early evening (3rd) which said I finally got the dispatch email Friday early evening (5th). Although it had a tracking link no information was available until this morning!
Not really important so long as the order arrives soon. The main reason I've posted this was in case anyone else sees the tracking info about customs & may have similar concerns about additional charges - there will be none for zooplus orders.

Thanks for that tonib. I heard on the radio that wet cat/dog food pouches are in short supply due to people buying lots of cats/dogs during the pandemic. I actually noticed in Asda on Saturday that stock was low and where I usually buy the big boxes of 40 pouches, I had to buy the boxes of 12. I just did an order through Bitiba for wet cat food pouches and for Bramble's RC Urinary dry food. I forgot about the silica cat litter though. I usually buy my wood pellet cat litter and the silica litter from Wilko's on my way to work. But, since they changed their opening hours to 9am I haven't been able to go there so I've been ordering online. Lat week I did my 3rd online order with them and I have encountered a problem. I received the one lot of cat litter but not the silica cat litter and my bird suet blocks. I've sent an email to DHL and Wilko but no joy yet. I had the wood pellet cat litter delivered on Thursday. I'm now very low on the silica cat litter so I hope they sort it out soon.

I should get my order today but the DPD tracking (on .de) is still odd in the order things are done From that it seems to have crossed the North Sea a few times!! I'm sure it didn't and is just a case of when the relevant places got round to updating the system, although I thought that was done automatically when the parcel got scanned at the various places. On 2nd thoughts it could be that the Oldbury entry (earliest) was due to paperwork for customs being generated in the UK so that all customs charges were prepaid before it got to the UK. I don't know it works for the international supplier calculating customs in advance.

lotsofcats, sent you a message on the subject of the pouches. Not good about the missing Wilko items, hope you can get it sorted soon. I've never used the silica litter how good is with plenty of urine & also tracking. Roman tracks litter (fine clay/plant based clumping & wood pellet) everywhere, well past litter mats & on carpet or tiles! I have no idea how he manages it. He also goes multiple times a day & night due to his diabetes & HyperT!

lotsofcats, sent you a message on the subject of the pouches. With reference to the Wilko order, they are driving me mad. I received an email which stated they were sorry I'd had a problem but understand that I have now received the order - I haven't! I also had a reply from DHL who stated that they hadn't received another parcel for me, so I forwarded this onto Wilko. I haven't heard back yet. I won't be ordering from the again. I managed to buy some silica cat litter when I went to the dentist yesterday. Silica cat litter is very good with plenty of urine, it doesn't smell and tracking is much better than with wood pellet cat litter. It's only drawback is that it is expensive. I only use it in the house as there's no smell with it. for 6 cats, I have a large litter tray and a small one and I use 2 bags a week - unless Kai Ruki has down a 'Kai Special' and I have to change it straight away. It's only now and then he does that. Koba-Khan does the longest wee in the world! When he's finished I tilt the box up so that the urine runs down to the other side of the tray - I can hear the crystals absorbing it.

Finally got an email off Wilko. They said they tracked the remainder of my order and it's been lost in transit! They are refunding the £18 for the cat litter as they no longer have any in stock and my bird suet blocks are on their way. Minutes later I had another reply from someone else at Wilko and they stated that I'd had my parcel! I'll NEVER order from them again.

Isn't it strange if things are out of stock of slow arriving what i am being told is it's because of Brexit and what people in the UK are told is because of pandemic both could indeed be true but IV noticed pet food and bird food going low or gone from Tesco where as the pet shop still has lots in stock some time ago we got something from China it arrived damaged kicked about the place sent pics to company they agreed twas unfit for use they asked what we wanted a refund or replacement we said refund nothing happened for awhile I emailed we chatted for a few weeks still nothing I contacted eBay they could do nothing I contacted pay pal because it was delivered they could do nothing then the company stopped answering me so ok I think 36 euro lost next we got a bill from FedEx we had to pay 16 euro customs phoned them explained what happened they said we will look into it two days later got a second bill fee had doubled phoned and agreed to pay first bill all that was a learning curve don't shop in China and watch customs

I remember my brother in law ordered a computer cable from China through eBay, what he received was an old coin. Like you say spider don't trust buying from China.
