I saw Tay the 'not stray' again last week and he came to visit at 10pm so I was able to go outside and see him and my daughter took some photos - they are not brilliant as it was dark. They don't really show how beautiful he is now. I've just noticed on the pics how grubby the cat pen and Toffee's cat house on the side of the pen is, and the wall etc.!! Had to laugh at Toffee sat out in the cat pen watching Tay. He did go back in the shed part later to snuggle up in his cat bed. The pen is 'L' shaped and the biggest part is on the right hand side of the cat shed. , on Flickr

I am - can't you tell?, but I am glad he's obviously now got a home. But, true to a cat's nature, once it's been a stray it will always look for food, which is why he still comes most nights looking for the food I always put out, bless him.

Saw him again last night. I was sat on the cold step by the cat pen at 10.45pm hand feeding him some more chicken and cat food after he'd already eaten his dish of a pouch of cat food and 8 pieces of chicken! Toffee came out of the cat shed to see him and I had to give him some chicken too.

He'll be moving in next, and having two homes.

He'll be moving in next, and having two homes. He turned up again last night for his extra chicken. He won't hang around as he's scared of the dog.

Nice to have Tay visiting you lotsofcats regularly & looking well. Hope his extra food isn't making him overweight. I still remember the shock we got when Penny weighed in at 5Kg, she should have been 4Kg at the absolute most & preferably less!!! We got her in March 2008 and mid April she was 3.4 Kg&, then 3.6 by mid May she gradually put it on without us noticing . We were both working at that point & they all had their own bowls on the floor. The shock came in October 2009 when at the vets she weighed in at 5.1!!! Immediate diet required. I'd now retired & discovered what she'd been doing was hoovering up any food left bu Roman and Osiris! By the end of May 2010 she was 3.9Kg & we'd created a rod for our backs in the solution we found which was to feed the boys on the kitchen worktop as she couldn't jump up there. (she was 11 by then & starting arthritis as well as being a small(ish) cat). It was because of this that we got the microchip feeders when they were first launched in September 2014 (we had 4 of the first 100!)

Yes tonib I will have to consider Tay's weight. Didn't see him last night before I went to bed although he had been some time during the night and eaten the food left out for him.

Toffee was sunbathing in the middle of the path in the front garden. I entered 7 pics and I've now found 5 of them. I've seen one lovely pic of Moonbeam.

Tay came last night at 9pm and it was tipping down, he was so wet, bless him. I took a pic of him sat on the veranda of Toffee's house. I swear he's related to Blackberry, not only the coat and markings, but also that grumpy look is so Blackberry (we call Blackberry Grizelda Stroppychops when she does it). Toffee's house is turning green and will have to be rubbed down and varnished in the spring. Notice the pink cat house on top of it - I put that there when Tay first came and I hoped he would sleep in it, but no, he never did. Toffee sleeps in it sometimes.

He comes every night for his food and not in the middle of the night like he used to. He came at 9pm last night, 7pm the night before. He knows if he comes when I am still up he will get extra chicken and some biscuits. He was funny last night - after he'd eaten his food he just sat there - he still doesn't let me smooth him, he never purrs or miaows, he just sits there, squishing his eyes at me. I thought I'd try him with a Lick-e-licks tube for him to lick - he swiped his paw at it and turned away!
