I don't believe it I've won a prize of pet Purina kibble, courtesy of V by Vodafone (I'd bought a new Pod3 tracker from them in July). I remember entering but had forgotten about it until I got the email from Vodafone saying I'd won 3KG Purina Pro Plan Dog Medium Puppy With Optistart. No that isn't a typo I've won puppy kibble!! Ok I did know the various prizes were all dog food but I didn't think win anything & had decided I might as well enter as I could always donate it to the rescue. Oddly a couple of weeks ago I'd been informed that Vodafone were having to cease that trackers service (another story)after 12th December & I could have either a full refund of the purchase price or their replacement tracker. As I'd already got a different brand for my other tracker (iKati by Tractive) I decided to get another one of those. That company havd also emailed me with a discount offer so I ordered one late late yesterday, it will be delivered by UPS on Monday and once that's set up & working for Roman I'll take up Vodafone's offer of a full refund.

Not sure my luck has continued though, I got an email today with 30% off everything from the tracker company which is a larger discount than the one I used as it covered the accessories I ordered as well! Ah well, at least I got some discount Mind you I went to use the last of my December vouchers at Pets at Home yesterday & discovered they'd got Felix ASGAIL at £3 a box as part of their Black Friday deals (@lotosfocats you might be interested if there's a PAH near you). I had to go & get a trolley to get everything back to the car as I'd only taken a small bag! They've also rebranded their Seriously Good range so had some pouches in the old packaging discounted, so manged to get the last 6 in the flavour Osiris has & also some of the new to try along with some Applaws tins.

I'll definitely pop into PAH over the weekend. I think it's time for the winter stock to be built up a bit. My cats used to love the PAH range of cat food and then they went off it. That was a long time ago so perhaps I should try it again (the cats, not me).

I did a big food and cat litter order online from Pets at Home tonib, thanks for letting me know the brilliant price of £3 per box. I received the order on Tuesday and got round to opening the food boxes yesterday evening. As soon as I opened one box there was an awful smell. I noticed that a pack of 4 boxes of Felix AGAILs was yucky looking on the bottom. I took the plastic off and the smell got worse. I opened one box and tentatively checked all the pouches and after a wash in soapy water they were fine. I then tackled the other smelly box. It had dead maggots all over the slimy pouches and one particular pouch was really puffed up....gross. I didn't even consider checking other pouches in the box to see if they could be washed if okay, I just put it all in a carrier bag and tied it up. I brought it to work with me this morning with the intention of taking photos to send to PAH. I ended up ringing them and they were very apologetic and didn't even want photos. They are sending me another box of food and a voucher.

Oh nasty lotsofcats, that's much worse than the leaking pouches I had from zooplus once, like PAH they replaced them straight away. I know it was 2 days after receipt you opened but I'm surprised they couldn't be smelt by the packers as it takes a while for maggots to die so must have been alive at some point - gross! I don't envy you having to deal with that. I hope you were able to dispose of the smelly boxes quickly.

I tied them up in a bag and put them in the bin in work!
