I had to look up which book it came from too! It's a nice unusual name.

They are quite thick, and there’s 14 of them so it takes a bit of time to read through them all. I might have to reread them before the tv series comes out, lol

Avi has been staying in my room while Mikila gets used to the idea of no longer being an only cat again. I woke up half off the bed with Avi snuggled up against me on the other side.

Seems like she's settling in. Is Mikila usually allowed in your bedroom? I hope they get on well soon.

Usually she’s allowed in, but my room is downstairs and Mikila tends to spend more time upstairs. I heard her meowing outside the door yesterday, she didn’t sound to happy though. I also put one of Avi’s blankets upstairs close to Mikila’s stuff so she can sniff it.

Mikila managed to push open the cat door on my bedroom door. I didn’t lock it, it was just shut. I woke up at about 5am because she was growling at poor Avi, who just wanted to play. What a bully. She was running away when I sat up

Well, she is definitely interested in Avi even if she growled at her. Have you been trying them together to see what happens?

I’ve had them on opposite sides of the door. Mikila gets all scared and growly, and will even swat at me. As soon as the door is shut she goes back to normal. Avi isn’t scared, she’ll run right up to Mikila if I’m not blocking her, I think that freaks Mikila out.

I’ve been putting them together a couple times a day, hoping Mikila will get used to Avi. Good news is she’s not growling as soon as she sees Avi anymore, but once Avi gets too close, Mikila will hiss and freak out.

Getting there slowly but surely. I can just imagine them cuddled up together in a couple of weeks.

I hope so. It was much easier with Mikila and Silly, I have a picture of them cuddling just a few days after she came home.

Avi isn’t putting much weight on her right hind leg, I’m not sure if she’s pulled a muscle somehow or something. She was fine last night

Poor Avi. Watch her and if she doesn't improve I suggest taking her to the vet.
