Oh poor Avi & you, mistyanna . We'll be thinking of you both on Monday. Cat usually manage well on 3 legs, there's a lovely all black just round the corner from us. Is it a front or a hind leg? It’s a hind leg. I’m looking at adding ramps or steps onto some of her favourite spots since it’ll be more difficult for her to jump up with only three legs

That's a great idea mistyanna. Animals have a way of coping and adapting and I'm sure Avi will adapt well.

Her food has been taken away for the night and she’s currently relaxing in her carrier because she started getting worked up after hearing Mikila on the other side of the door. She’s got one more dose of medication before her surgery then we’re leaving first thing in the morning. I won’t see her again until Tuesday if all goes well.

That is good news mistyanna. She's going to feel very odd what with being operated on & now only having 3 legs, poor girl. Mikila will probably not like her smell and land up hissing at her but hopefully that will settle down. Now comes the long haul of recovery from the op, will she need being kept in limited conditions while she heals so she doesn't open up the wound? Bet you're looking forward to having her home again.

Yes, I’m going to be keeping her down in my room for a little bit again. She’s gonna have a little cone, I’m sure she’ll hate it lol.
She’ll have to go back to get her stitches removed in about 10 days they said

She’s home. And protesting her cone lol, she keeps accidentally catching it on anything possible. I made little steps up to my bed so she could get up, but she ignored them and tried to jump anyway. Didn’t work the greatest. She’s currently sleeping on my arm
