Today I got my usual email from the BBC & I followed the link to an iplayer programme on a series about remarkable places to eat (interesting in itself but not relevant to this post!). However I found a surprising link at the bottom of the iplayer page called which led to a BBC Arts Page about a photographer who took 90,000 photos of cats. The photos are amazing, I particularly like the photo of his daughter & kitten "smiling". That's a book that's going on my wishlist along with trying to find his older books. Additionally there was a link on that page called about an exhibition at the British Library called "Cats on the Page" exploring "the various literary guises of our feline friends in stories and poems, from comical kitties to mysterious creatures and master criminals." the article has the date 28th November 2019 (!) at the top but (sadly) that futuristic date is a mistake as the exhibition was from 23rd November 2018 to 17th March 2019. Still it was worth reading the article

Had a quick look tonib - amazing photos. The one of the photographer's daughter and kitten 'smiling' is brilliant.
