Oh apparently Monty was SEVEN weeks old yesterday!!! I thought he was only six weeks so it looks like I got his date of birth wrong Must admit I didn't actually ask Wendy when it was I just thought he was 14 days old when I first met him.....and I'm sure she said he was! He's now ~ according to a text from her on Whatsapp yesterday ~ a whopping 7.7kg in weight (!) Now I'm old fashioned and still work in pounds and ounces but, knowing there's around 2.2lb in a kg thought Wendy may be a bit confused. Last night I converted the weight into pounds which gave me just over 16lb!!! My boy weighs a STONE already!!!! Think the figures may be getting a bit confused here....agree? Going to see him today anyway so will take piccies and, hopefully, a video of him

Neil came with me and took the following video. Not sure if the name Monty suits him now so he's gonna be nicknamed The Ginger Ninja until we get him home and choose something that suits him He's seriously gorgeous though! WARNING ~ THIS VIDEO CONTAINS AN OVERLOAD OF CUTENESS!!!!!

Monty is getting more and more scrumptious! He is so fluffy. Perhaps she meant his weight was 7.7lbs, but that is still heavy for a kitten. He is going to be a big boy. That last pic of you with Monty is lovely - you and Neil are smitten.

Amazing little kitten. So active. (My big 7yr old tomcat is 6.3 kg, so that weight cannot be correct).

After we left Neil commented that he thought kitten was smaller than he'd expected but I just said that's because we're used to adult cats. I'm sure once he's home and settled and gets decent food inside him he'll start to grow and grow I'll weigh him once he's home next Wednesday and then do him weekly. I still think he's only 6 weeks old TBH but he IS using the litter tray and eating kitten food so if vet gives him the OK next Tuesday when he goes for a final health check then I'm happy enough to go down on my day off on Wednesday and bring him home I'd go on Tuesday but I'm doing 12 - 7pm that day

Yes, looking at photos of him at 14 days and now you can really see the changes The weeks HAVE flown - it seemed like only yesterday that it was 6 weeks until he came home and now it's *eeek!!!* less than 72 hours Day off on Monday so I'll do some food shopping and get some kitten supplies in......litter is ordered online, bowls and plates ready, toys in drawer, cat tree up in corner of living room, carrier box ready with soft blanket inside, emergency bag packed & ready (poo bags, wet wipes etc in case he poops/pukes/pees in basket!) .....just need to find out what food he's on and get some in as I don't want to go shopping on the way home AFTER picking him up. We still don't have a car so will be getting the bus home so I want it to go as smoothly as possible and get him home and out ASAP Feeling VERY excited now I know what you mean about hardly being able to sleep before bringing him a puppy - so much excitement to plan together....walks, training, holidays, FUN!!!

Oh yes....500% definitely indoor only. I still have to live with the guilt of how much I let Loki and Phoebe down Even now I feel absolutely distraught when I think of them. I'll be honest here....at times I've almost rang Wendy up a couple of times and told her I cannot take Monty as I just don't feel worthy or good enough - or deserving - of such a sweetheart I still feel uncomfortable with the idea of indoor cats BUT both Neil and Jackson Galaxy have talked me round and we are going to complete catify this flat with trees, ceiling-height runways and whatever else we can think of to give Monty and his future brother/sister a fulfilling life. We're even thinking of moving to somewhere with a garden or yard so we can enclose it and make an outdoor catio for them all Something along the lines of this! I did find another one on a blog which we both DROOLED over as it had plants and shelves and walkways and hiding places for the cats and was SO gorgeous I wanted to move in myself!!! Cannot find it at the moment but I'll keep looking....

Are you sure Chantel will not get problems if she takes Neil in? Still 1.5 day to go.The shopping will be a feast too. There is a chance that he pees in the carrier. You had better use a kind of Pamper that you can throw away. I had a square one that covers the whole bottom, but I don't remember the name. (ca.15 years ago). Drugstore/pharmacy? Good luck on Wednesday.

Are you sure Chantel will not get problems if she takes Neil in? Naaaah.....he's pretty low maintenance Sleeps a lot, eats whatever's put in front of him (tho' being an obligate carnivore just like cats a salad just won't cut it ) and is completely housetrained. Bad points.....messy, constantly watching car programmes on Sky and tends to fill the house with gadgets I'll miss him when he goes *sob* ...........but will console myself with a tidy house, no gadgets, endless miles of cable and plants everywhere Oh, and dogs! At least two dogs
