Does anyone know if there is any downsides to using Dorwest Tree Bark powder over a longish period of time? Just it is a miracle cure for Gypsys belly making awful loud gurgling noises (possibly linked to pancreatic issue) but do not want to then create another issue! She has had it for a couple of days so far. It comprises slippery elm bark 90% and white popular bark 10%. For those who do not know it this link might help. www.dorwest.com/product/tree-barks-powder-for-dogs-and-cats/

Dorwest imply it is fine used over a long period of time (I have continued using it, only using 1 scoop she could have 2 by dosage on packet), but can not help wonder if it can affect uptake of vitamins, minerals, supplements etc. i.e should it be given at different time of day to anything specific like her joint care?
Have to admit I tend to chuck all the extras on evening meal.
