We get quite a few wildlife visitors but that is definitely an unusual bird jassycat1 but looks it the wallaby (?) was enjoying a drink or was it a bath. I assume it was a youngster or else you have a very large birdbath!!!!

Not these ones - wallabies are very shy. They come up to the house but bound away if I go outside. I made them their own ground level pond after this before they broke my bird bath. They are heavy, especially with a baby in the pouch.

Read more: yourpetforums.co.uk/thread/9727/love-puppy-rehome?page=6&scrollTo=147779#ixzz4xhixoGOxIt is a large bird bath, tonib, and she had a baby in her pouch. It was a very hot day. Rather than cooling her butt, I think she may have been giving the youngster a chance for a drink. I don't think I've quite got how to tag people, so hope you see this.

Now that I'm definitely not going to rehome this puppy, I thought I'd better start a new thread with a less negative title, so any advice on A Balanced Diet for Puppies would be very much appreciated.

What kind of wallaby is this, it is very pretty. Visited Melbourne many years ago, the sounds of your birds is unique and there are so many really pretty ones. I know they are pests but adored the possums! I will never forget my encounters with fairy penguins! The fruit bats flying during daylight was an eye opener! They are big!

caz2golden I believe she's a brush-tailed rock wallaby. I don't myself account the possums pests, though some do. I leave out food for ours each night and take pleasure in seeing generations of them grow up (despite their depredations on my plants). We have brush tails, but also the very shy little ringtails. Being on six acres of mainly bush we have an interesting assortment of birds including the colourful rainbow lorikeets and the larger red and green king parrots.

That's lovely that you can see generations of possums grow up and all those lovely birds too.
I expect you are looking forward to your first Christmas with Panda.

lotsofcats I am, and expecting the family to give her lots more toys. Her favourite toy at the moment (apart from my husband - there's no justice in the world) seems to be Hugo, the cat. They are playing beautifully together.

She is as tall as the cat now but not nearly as heavy. I think Hugo has lead in his legs. She is a dear little soul but always looks a complete ragamuffin as much as I brush and comb her. With her curly fly-away hair she is destined to always look like she has been dragged backwards through a bush. I don't care. The whole family love her.

The ragamuffin look is part of Panda's attraction. I laughed that you said you think Hugo has lead in his legs! One of my cats, Kali, is like that - I go to pick her up and it's as if she's glued to the floor.
