Lexie is doing fine, taking daily capsule like a trooper (mind you she does get 3 treats afterwards!!!!) & wanting to try everyone else’s food (human or feline) if she gets a chance!
Friday a week ago, Roman had a fight with a visiting (entire) big entire male ginger tabby – we think it’s a stray/feral. We caught the end of it when we got home, they were sitting a bit apart yelling at each other but I saw Roman’s collar on next door’s drive so that had obviously been actually fighting at close quarters. No sign of damage to Roman but on Saturday his left eye started weeping & by 8 pm was closed so rang the vet to check whether we should wait until Monday or get hm into an emergency appointment. It turns out the vet now has 2 1 hour walk-in clinic on a Sunday 10:30 & 3:30 so we were advised to take Roman on the Sunday. Luckily no scratch on his eyes but they were inflamed so Maxitrol drops for a few days but no need to keep in. His eye recovered so drops stopped.
This Saturday Roman started sneezing & his other eye was weeping a bit on Sunday, he was also very lethargic for him (one use of the tracker we’ve got is that it give details of activity – he’s been moving over those 2 days for under ½ his normal time, this includes in the house as well as out) So back to the vets again & he’s got an upper respiratory tract infection & conjunctivitis. So back on the Maxitrol, 2 injections (antibiotic & anti-inflammatory) in his rump – he really didn’t like that, he normally doesn’t complain about injections but they’re usually in the scruff of the neck not the rump! Then antibiotic tablets & Loxicom from tomorrow. Oh & has to be kept in which he’s not impressed with. We’ve also got to keep an eye on the other 2 just in case.
Typical they’re due in the cattery in just under 2 weeks!! Fingers crossed its all cleared up or we might have issues. The vet will see Roman on Friday.
The there’s Osiris…. I'm creating another thread for him!
