The worst thing I have had to deal with is Snarfy came strolling in the house all proud of himself with a mouse in his mouth, came and sat at my feet, looked up at me with his beautiful little eyes and dropped the mouse, which he hadn't actually killed and it just started running around the house! About a week later he brought a bird in the house, which again, was alive! The silly boy, would think I never fed him!! He's a fat cat! Unfortunately we moved from the country life which we were all gutted about but had to and now he doesn't go out much - which I am pleased about because the roads are busy, etc!

I can't believe I've forgotten about all the voles and shrews that my cats have brought in still alive?? And those ickle bug**rs can run real fast and get under the smallest of gaps. Hubby has not been best pleased having to move the washing machine and the fridge/freezer to get small rodents out of the house!! HaHa!!

My hubby has had to that several times but its mainly the small bookcase we have in the hall whilst the stupid cat watches until he's bored!! yesterday evening the present was a live worm in the hall! Sharon that must have been awful, the worst part must have taking the one to the vet to be pts.

Gosh Sharon, no wonder you only have indoor cats now. I can't imagine anything worse. At least when cats have traffic accidents it all happens so quickly they don't have time to feel fear. Poppy has just bought me one of the worst 'presents'. A bald baby Jackdaw from the nest in 'her' tree. I'm not sure if she went and got it down or it fell out. It was quite gross. I buried it at sea (flushed it down the loo) Buried it at sea !

I forgot to mention about the live dove Tia (RIP) brought me. I managed to get it in a box and take it down the vet's. I think I'm right in saying that most birds will die of shock from a bird attack if the cat doesn't kill them, so I thought the vet would humanely put it down. I don't like birds but I wouldn't allow one to suffer if I could help it.
I've had some smiles reading about the live mice in the house episodes from everyone. I've certainly had a few of those. It's amazing how quickly you get into practical mode and brush aside any sqeamisishness when it's in front of you!
