He only ate about half his overnight kibble (most unusual) but tucked into his breakfast until I heard that distinctive sound (oddly as I was ringing the vets to book Lexie check-up this Thursday!). He'd got rid of ALL his breakfast - eaten & uneaten as he'd been sick mainly into his food bowl! He then went out & ate some grass and had no problem subsequently going onto the shed roof & then over the fence. He came back shortly & although seemed initially to want food wasn't interested in anything. He then snoozed on the sofa with me for about an hour or so then decided to let me know he wanted food of which he has now eaten some.
Slightly more worrying was that after he came back in I noticed a bloody spot where he'd sat! So he's being kept in until I can check that it was a one off or there is blood in his faeces. This could be a wait as he can hold on to it!!! So he's now incarcerated into our cat "prison/isolation ward" - our conservatory & dining room combination
He seemed to be having fun last night (around 8:30ish) in the drizzle, although I could find him he just didn't want to come home or be caught - a couple of people did wonder why someone was wandering around their close for about 20 minutes or more! One actually came to their door & probably saw Roman fleeing from just in front of it as he was starrtled by the noise of it opening so accepted my saying I was looking for our cat!! One day I reckon someone will call the police to report a prowler!!!
I gave up & kept a check or wher he was with the POD2 GPS tracker & he was still hanging around those few houses & across the road in the edge of the country park. I went back again about half an hour later & this time he came out of the woods and although wasn't going to be caught at least he came home for his tea & stayed in until Osiris came home about 10 when I shut them all in as I didn't want to go searching for Roman again as I was on my own (Mark's been away & was getting back late Sunday night). Roman did show interest in wanting out again but did settle OK despite the annoyed look!
I wonder if he's eaten something that disagreed with him? He's also overdue his wormer so I gave him a dose of Profender (for large cats) just in case. Also did Osiris, I'll arrange to get some more from the vets on Thursday along with some Advocate flea treatment for both Roman & Lexie. I'll also order some Drontal (2 sizes) from Animed as that is Roman & Lexie's normal wormer but as I had just got a 2-pack of Profender for Osiris I used that for Roman rather than wait for the Drontal to arrive. I seem to have got out of sync with the regular treatments so I must get that calendarised again.
Its now just a waaiting game.
