In last couple of days my two have had some rabbit mince which they have not had in many (many) months. They have also had one new thing being Pheasant feet! Got a new complete to try soon but thinking this next week might use up the Natures Menu I have in freezer.

Recently mine tried some turkey wings. Hope I can get more near to Christmas as they made a great meal for them.
Today back to Natures menu nuggets and complete blocks, needed an easy day!

Where did you get the turkey wings caz2golden and what were they like to feed? I've considered them before but thought they would probably be too tough, bony and big for Alfie

They varied in size, the larger one weighed just shy of 400g. Got them from Raw Pet Supplies. They are a Manifold Valley Meats product so guess other suppliers will have them.

How many times a day do you feed raw? Is it normally once or twice? And can anyone recommend any books for feeding raw and has a list of beneficial human foods that dogs can eat?

It's a personal choice how many times a day you feed. I feed Pepper & Ellie once a day, but I believe that caz2golden feeds twice a day. As for books, there are a fair few - Work Wonders: Feed Your Dog Raw Meaty Bones by Tom Lonsdale and Raw and Natural Nutrition by Lew Olsen are two that I have and refer to. There are more though I think, Caz might know more.

I think my favourite book is Canine Nutrigenomics and that is not a raw feeding book It is more about how food affects the body. I agree with orpheous87 list for raw feeding books Yes I feed twice a day.

Mine tried quail for the first time yesterday. Both seemed to enjoy it. Got to hope the supplier has more next time I order!

Spoilt Phoebe to some lamb chunks today (something Gypsy is not allowed). Gypsy had Zebra instead. They both enjoyed turkey wings and some offal. Got mango and pineapple on reduced at Tescos today so they had that too:)
