Millie's got bald patches on her back legs. It began the beginning of last week but by Friday one of them was really big. She is biting them but I don't know if that's what's caused it in the first place or why she is scratching. She's been wearing the cone of shame since Saturday and I've booked her an appointment at the vets for 10am this morning just to get her checked over. She's fine in every other way but her legs look so sore. Will keep you posted on how she gets on.

Thank you. He checked and it's not any mites so she's been given some medicated shampoo and steroids to try and ease the itching. If she's not any better after that she'll have to go for more tests.

I hope that the steroids do the trick.

Hope the treatment works & Millie doesn't have to go back to the vets. Must be so frustrating not knowing what has caused the problem milliepup04

No, she hasn't really. He checked for mites by putting sticky tape on the skin and then sticking it on a slide and looking at it under the microscope.

No, she hasn't really. He checked for mites by putting sticky tape on the skin and then sticking it on a slide and looking at it under the microscope. So they haven't done a proper scrape test ? The cellotape test never worked for Tobi but the scrape test showed up that Tobi had got demadex hope Millie gets sorted soon bless her x

No, they haven't yet. Ahh, OK. May be something I need to ask them to do then! Thanks.
