Hi, I know this post is a bit old but I just had to vent! Walking my dogs today with my husband and mum. A man walking towards us with his dog off the lead let's his dog come bounding in to my Lab who did nothing just stood there luckily as she is 14 years old! But my jack Russel who my husband was walking, started barking (he is not dog friendly so we always keep him on a lead, which by the way this other man knew as we've seen him once before when his dog was on the lead too) then this Mastiff starting going for our Jack and the owner just slowly walked up,no urgency and I told him that his dog had bitten our dog and his reply was "oh he doesn't bite anything!" Then my husband asked him to get his dog off and his answer to that was "WELL STAND F##KING STILL THEN" which by ghe way my husband was trying to do but a bit awkward when his dog was charging around us trying to get our Jack. Charming person! Sorry to go on but I'm literally shaking as I write this

Thanks scallywag, yes we're feeling better now, luckily the other dog didn't break the skin. I hope we don't bump into him again!

I know we shoukdn't have to but if I enter a park I go to and there are dogs on the loose I turn about face and walk out again rather do that and go on another route than have a lovely relaxing walk turn into a stressful one, that defeats the object of getting out to relax and forget the days trials and tribulations

Yes thanks @boxerluver Jacks ok he's a tough little thing. To be honest I think the owner turned out to be more aggressive than the dog! It's a disaster waiting to happen and some poor little dog won't be so lucky next time.
