I think I may have changed my mind all together about letting them out at all , a lady that lives in the next street has stopped me today said she had seen princess the older kitten sat in the window & wanted to give me a heads up . Turns out a man that lives a few streets down had to rabbits eaten by foxes in spring just gone so when he got new ones he booby trapped his garden by putting anti freeze in tins of cat food only trouble is it's not just the foxes that are sniffing it out it's the local cats aswell . 3 cats have died in the last 8 weeks from poisoning & even though he has been asked to stop using the anti freeze his still putting it down . So with the foxes & the anti freeze I think it would be better if I just let them be house cats . Another thing I found out today is that Lilly's are deadly to cats too my husband brought me some home luckily I was on the phone to my mum & told her about his nice kind gesture she just shouted get them out the house they will kill my cats :/ I have some much to learn but I'm so glad she was on the other end of the phone God knows what may have happened. Vaccination wise princess has had both of hers plus her flea tablets worming tablets & micro chop & prince is booked in for his 2nd jab flea treatment & micro chip in 3 weeks time . Pet insurance I need to sort but I think il use tesco as that's who the dog is insured with xx

Don't panic about the lilies, if you take the stamens out so the pollen is removed then they should be ok.
If I knew for certain that a neighbour was putting antifreeze out and animals were being harmed then I'd be reporting him to the RSPCA if not the police.

Well done for removing the lilies - not only is the pollen a killer, all parts of the flower and plant are poisonous - better safe than sorry. I actually know someone whose 9 month old cat died of kidney failure from sniffing lilies.
I don't think I would let the kittens out at all if there is some nasty murdering person putting antifreeze down to deliberately poison pets and foxes. I would definitely contact the RSPCA about the man putting antifreeze down even if it is hearsay, it needs to be checked out.
Could you get a pen built in your garden. 6 of my cats have a garden pen for the daytime.

Can't give any more advice than has already been given on letting the cats out.
As to the lilies all parts are poisonous but the pollen is the most dangerous as it only needs to be brushed against or fall on a cats fur for them to lick it off & hence ingest the toxin. If kept out of normal reach they should be safe so long as the stamens are removed so there is no pollen. Its unlikely that the cats would eat the leaves/stems/flowers. However watch out for any dropped petals/leaves that, being kittens, they might see as play things.

OMG!!!!! Definitely let the police AND RSPCA know about that scumbag putting out antifreeze Not only is he risking other peoples' cats but if it IS poisonous to foxes what a HORRIBLE cruel way to go As far as I'm concerned ALL poisons should not be available for the general public to buy! I wouldn't rest until something was done about this wicked man and if the RSPCA and police won't do anything then I'd be having a word with my local newspaper and make a BIG stink about it!!! It's a shame that so many members of society are so anti-cat (and anti-anything that's not human!) that so many cats cannot be allowed outdoors to live a full life

Hi all quick update , Cats seem fine after the Lille incident thank god . As for the anti freeze man I know the police & others have been notified so with any luck they will sort that soon . However not all is good , prince has fractured his leg I'm not sure exactly how he done it but I noticed him limping on it & it kept getting worse so I took him to the vets pain killers & cage rest for 2 weeks if there no improvement he needs another X-ray fingers crossed when I let him out to have a 5 minute wonder it seemed to have calmed a little

chelsea90, Sorry to hear Prince has damaged his leg - a 6/7 week old kitten on cage rest will be a task & a half. If I read your post right you let him out for a wander. I'm not an expert on kittens or fractured legs but did the vet say to let him have some exercise as they may well have meant cage rest so no weight is put on the leg at all. The 2 weeks will go by quickly & he'll be back to vets in time for his 2nd vaccination etc. appointment
