I hope that Georgia's inflammatory bowel condition can be managed as soon as possible.

Hope Georgia is ok today after her teeth removal. Is it just a case of food management for her inflammatory bowel condition.?

Puddycats the vet said there were a range of options like management through diet and/or prednisolone. The antibiotics for her post surgery should help with the bowel too. It's in the early stages so that's good. Apparently it's the gas and water in the bowel which showed up on the x Ray.
She was right as rain last night. I let her out for a bit of fresh air and had a small heart attack when she leapt on the fence and ran along it. I've managed to get her antibiotics into her (thank-you Sheeba) and squirted the loxicom into her mouth this morning so that's good.
She does look a lot better. She seems to be smiling so clearly the bad teeth were making her feel ropey.
Btw. They did routine bloods and they were all ok.
Job well done.

Ah I wondered how they found the IB condition, good news on the bloods. Sounds like she's full of live despite the vet treatment!

Well post surgery vet trip this evening. Because her ladyship hasn't been eating the food with the antibiotics we've had to switch to a hard pill. The vet demonstrated the bunny burrito technique which is basically swaddling. So miss will be getting her tabs. Slightly bad bit of news as her xray also revealed she has spondylitis but it doesn't seem to be effecting her at the minute. Guess my little girl is getting on just like her mummy.

You'll have to tell me how the bunny burrito method Georgia as I've seen videos of it being used but not yet tried it with Penny as she is the one that needs it. I just wish we could explain to the cats how they need to take the meds calmly. they are all different. Roman's a good boy with oral meds, Lexie's a bit of wriggler but that's not so much the pill but the need to stay still!! Osiris you can con with a ham or chicken wrapped pill but Penny ..... even the vets are very wary of her. So long as they can be crushed we can mix them in something suitable as a treat but she's had it with pill pockets, Webbox sticks etc.
Sorry to hear about the spondylitis. Is there anything they can do in the future for her?

Think of it as a nappy. Cat at the edge and tuck the sides in. Georgia was as good as gold for me tonight. The little sweetheart. You know you have your cat's trust at such times.

The spondylitis will probably not cause her too many problems. She won't jump as high etc. the vet wasn't concerned. In some ways the limiting of mobility will be beneficial as she won't be pained.

She's pretty well in herself. You can tell her teeth must have been bothering her as she's much more cheerful. On the whole there have been less sick incidents although we had one this morning.

Glad to hear she's improved - is she on the special diet or the meds?
