I love this! Going to have to look on Zooplus now. I think it's priced at £60 ish on their website - I had an email off zooplus with a link for it priced at £39.90 - much better! Although hubby said I must be mad paying that much for it! I think it was worth it as it's well made and sturdy.

OK Toffee, you've said 'thank you' enough for the new cabin - he's brought 6 thank-you's since he had it, 3 rats, 2 sparrows and 1 vole.

He's making sure he's 'paying his way' by bringing 'food' home to help you out My two girls' record was three in one night I think it's a bit of a good year for small furries as the mild winter obviously didn't kill many off. They commented on that on a bird website last week and I thought to myself ''I could have told you that going by the number Chilli has brought in!'' Seems to have been a good breeding year for shrews too.

Glad to hear Toffee likes it, of course we do need to see photos to prove it I'd give Toffee a chance with the flap, lotsofcats, as it will stop any driving rain getting in if the wind's in that direction. Although just had another look at the picture & it doesn't seem to go both ways like a catflap so perhaps he would find it uncomfortable. Does Mary, littlekitty, or yours dutchkitties mind the flap? don't think ours had the plastic flap..could of been plywood not sure as it's the earlier model.. the plastic replaced the original bit..Mark took the flap of it more or less straight away as it seemed to small for Buddy to get through..

lotsofcats we have the same cat den haha, we call it Miezes Ski Lodge and she spends a lot of time on it (Carlotta sometimes sleeps on the roof but generally it is Miezes). We traded some bottles of my mans hot sauce for it from a friend whose cats never used it haha.

Haha yeah, they were gonna give it to us for free actually but they love the hot sauce my man makes so we gave them some for it. Mieze uses it all the time so she's definitely very happy with the trade. Carlotta prefers sleeping in the cardboard box next to it haha, so she looks like the local hobo living in the rubbish pile outside Miezes fancy ski lodge

My Tommie prefers the roof. It will not take long now before it collapses. It is already resting on Tosha when she is on the balcony. The other one has already fallen apart, but my help can repair it, she said.

Oh btw, ours has the same flap too. It goes both ways. Ours don't like the flap so I tuck the three bits under the fence thing on the upper deck which holds it open. Ours is indoor though. They don't often use the bottom level anyway tbh.

dutchkitties I find it quite strong haha. Mieze doesn't often go on the roof though and Carlotta is tiny so no issue for her in any case.

Tommie and Tosha weigh 6 kg each and often they jump together on the roof and start fighting till Tosha chooses to hide on the balcony. For normal cats it is strong enough. The weather has an influence too.
