Hi, my 6 year old Maine Coon has been following my sick 15 year moggy everywhere! Moggy is being treated with antibiotics and Metacam for Cystitis/infection. It's really weird he just seems to want to be near her, he follows her to litter tray, water dish, everywhere! When she's sleeping he's right next to her watching, he'll wash her face but she's not too keen and she will slap him. She is usually the boss. It's quite worrying, is she sicker than see is being treated for or is some thing wrong with MC?

Hi sorry to read this, can't really advise but someone may. Is it Jazzpurr that's following her around ? or the other M C, last you said, you had 2 x male M C's

I think I'll phone the vet in the morning, see what he says!

That's unusual behaviour - I don't think it's a Maine Coon thing as I have 2 and they couldn't care less if any of my other cats are ill. I'll be interested to hear what the vet tells you.

It could just be he scents something unusual in her from the cystitis or her meds. and wants to comfort her or find out what's going on.
