Dear Fellow Dog Lovers
IAPWA (International Aid for the Protection & Welfare of Animals) www.iapwa.org is looking after street dogs in northern Borneo. We are a VERY small, UK-registered charity struggling for survival against the competition from much larger, well-established charities. We had just 6 months in which to raise the necessary funding to launch the project on 1st July, when we took over the management of the government-owned dog pound. Our team of volunteer veterinary staff have worked so hard to help neuter street dogs, save puppies and their mums who have been dumped on or born on the streets and treated those dogs who have needed Extra Care due to abuse, cruelty or neglect.
We launched a crowdfunding campaign called Watch, Share and Save Dogs's Lives goo.gl/LZYiMs at the beginning of October which has raised less than 4% of our target to see us through the winter months. We have until 10th December until the campaign ends but, in the meantime, we are in desperate need of funding to continue with our work, otherwise we may have to pull out, which is unthinkable for us after so many years of negotiation to be able to make a difference to the lives of the dogs, which we really are doing.
We are passionate about helping these dogs as no-one else is present to do so - which is why we set up the charity originally - PLEASE help if you can. Thank you so much from IAPWA and the street dogs of Kota Kinabalu in Borneo.
(Please share the link to the campaign - anything you can do to help would be so much appreciated.
