Poor Kai Ruki is suffering from diarrhoea. I've given him some Diarr-stop the day before yesterday. He came in from the outside pen yesterday in a bit of a state and then straight to the litter tray and made a mess - it was all over his rear end so I had to chase him around the room with tissues. He was not amused. Managed to clean him up and wipe down the windowsill and the arms of the sofa where he sat! and the drops he left on the carpet too. I can't understand how he's got it, he doesn't eat anything different to the other cats. He does lick the mesh of the cat pen over and over but he's done that for a while. Last night and this morning I gave him a Perridale capsule - they are Kiba-Khan's treatment to bulk up his stools and it says on the pot that they are suitable for cats that have diarrhoea too. A visit to the vet tomorrow if he doesn't improve.

Poor Kai Ruki and poor you. A long-haired cat with diarrhea is difficult to clean and all the furniture as well. The, unnatural, warm weather (25 C here) can be the reason. Don't know if it is the same where you live. I have had diarrhea myself for two days and no change of food. By the way I don't lick the mesh. Hope the medication works. Good luck.

I laughed so much at the "by the way I don't lick the mesh" !! The weather has been warm here so it could be that.

Oh poor Kai-Ruki hope the meds do the trick & he doesn't need a vet visit & you don't have to do any more large cleaning lotsofcats. Like you I laughed at dutchkitties response but was sorry to hear you'd also not been well Elly.

Kai Ruki is better - I think Kiba-Khan's capsules did the trick. He is much happier, he's cleaned himself and is looking for food - no more diarrhoea.
I hope that you are better Elly.

I'm glad Kai Ruki is better, for both of you. I found the usual poo this morning in three places and vomit on the long pile carpet. I'm getting used to my diarrhea, but thank you. Haha.
