Put all Misty's disks in the drive but it isn't there. Found another one -nothing to do with this subject- that I once had on the old forum, so unknown to you. Another thread.

Thanks for the video suggestion smilesbetter I had actually taken a video, but only of a mild attack, & showed the vet. He was aware of hyperesthesia & agreed that we need to eliminate anything else as there are no real test for it. An interesting article on the matter www.vet.cornell.edu/FHC/health_resources/HyperesthesiaSyndrome.cfm with this extract which is relevant to Osiris. After we cleared the conifer droppings he did have a few twitching episodes but not as bad & now we don't see them but he's not himself. Staying in more & also more affectionate with us humans. He seems very sorry for himself. Now whether the less violent twitching is due to having resolved the cause (or wherever he was going & getting irritated is no longer a problem) or or the Metacam is finally kicking in. Well the proof will probably be when we finish the Metacam & its out of his system. Another suggestion has been insects - again something that could have been dislodged as the result of the tree pruning. Or his new hidey hole is on an ants' nest - now we wouldn't put that past Osiris! A question of time now

Too many possibilities. I can understand that the vet doesn't know the cause. A muscle biopsy is the last thing I would consider. Osiris, please avoid strange places.

Poor Osiris - give him lots of tlc while you wait to see what happens when the Metacam is finished.

He's not doing too badly thank you spider. He's had a few milder twitch attacks over the last couple of days. He finished the Metacam on Friday so could be that but the wind has also brought down some more pruning bits from the trees - difficult to assess. Going to clear out the prunings again & see. Will be taking him bak to the vet on Friday or Monday.
