Well - ehhh - hi! It's me, I'm back.....again.
It's been nearly a year now since I was last on here so to the newer members who don't know me (or if you've forgotten who I am ) - I'm Rebecca. I live in the sunny (and it currently is sunny) southeast of Ireland and I have a 4 year old Beagle called Oscar.
I've just finished school now. I finished my leaving cert last tuesday so I am officially done with school! Only college/uni to go now but thats being put off for a year, provided I get offered a place in a course I like.
Sadly, we're moving house. Yes, that's right, we have sold this house and we are moving into town. I'm not happy about it. The idea of leaving this huge garden and all the lovely fields is not something I appreciate. We're not moving to the middle of town, we'll be just on the outskirts in a cul de sac across from my grandparents. I know everybody there already and this new house isn't that bad. The garden isn't as big, obviously, but it's still good enough and bigger than anywhere else in town. We'll probably be leaving this house in a week or 2 and possibly moving in with my grandparents for a while (and I'm pretty sure even my parents aren't looking forward to that!). But it's done now so nothing I can do about it. I'm sure Oscar will adapt much quicker than me in any case.
Getting back to dogs, Oscar is fine. He's 4 now and still as crazy as ever. I have yet to find the off switch...maybe next year. (rofl)Still loving his raw and he has his own freezer now which does make matters a bit easier. We haven't been doing much of anything else though I'm afraid. I just haven't had the time with my exams and a pretty hectic year at school but hopefully we'll get back into training again soon - even if we are both a bit rusty.
My goal was to add another dog to the mix this year but I'm not sure when that's going to happen now with all this moving hassle. We almost had another Beagle last year but it didn't work out. So this year I'm hoping to go to the pound to get another dog. I've thought about the local rescue but the pound dogs here get hardly any chance at a new life and I'd rather save a dog from being pts because their 7 days are up than get a dog who has a foster family and has plenty of time to find the right home.
Anyway, that's me. Not really much more to say as it hasn't particularly been a very exciting or productive year other than doing my leaving cert.
I'm looking forward to chatting with you all again.
