That seems a lovely place to walk Lovely walk cazypops . How far do you walk? Do you walk twice as far on your one walk scallywag ? I love the walk, and it's just at the back of our house. You would never believe looking at it, that on the other side of the trees on the left is a duel carriageway. I walk to the end then turn round and come back, It's about 2 miles all in. I bet when tonib is going to the retail park and driving down that duel carriageway she never had a clue the path was there. You're quite right I didn't cazypops

what an adorable picture, Butter wouldn't melt. How long did the ball last for cazypops About 5 minuets scallywag. He found it while out on our walk, and even though you can't see it, it already has a hole in it. I'm surprised it still had any fur on it.

Kobi has been acting strangely. Sometimes he won't go for a walk, he just lies on the sofa and won't go. Sometimes we go outside with him on the lead ready to go walking and he will stop and dig his heels in and we have to take him back home. 5 minutes later he will go up the garden and want his ball thrown and he will run up and down the garden for ages! I don't think he is well, he's not a healthy dog at all. I have worried for ages as he has lots of lumps. I have asked 4 different vets about them but they all said they were fatty lumps and not to worry about them, but now some of them are really big and it's too late to do anything about them. We stopped putting Kobi's harness on him as it might have been making him uncomfortable on his walks. Another strange thing he's been doing is dragging us in different directions on his walk - he must be fed up with the same walks.

Were you reading my mind. Everything you have written there Beau is exactly the same , Wont walk sometimes, get out the drive and wont go no further. Fatty Lumps on his underside , a wart to the side of his nostril , changes direction , digs in. Sleeps a lot , he will be 13 in August lotsofcats

Kobi was 10 in January but he's quite a big dog and they usually age sooner. I agree with the sleeping a lot too.

Alfie is behaving strangely in his old age too but he seems to have the opposite problems! He has a fatty lump on his waist and a few warts now, he's 12 in July. Rather than not wanting to walk and digging his heels in though he is the total opposite, he is constantly wanting things and just will not settle, nobody can leave the house without him thinking he's supposed to be going too and kicking up a fuss when he's not allowed but the most annoying thing he does is just goes and sits off in a room by himself, then do a single bark every few seconds for no apparent reason. I don't think he's settled well into his sudden retirement, he's not used to not being on the go with me all day - he just refuses to settle down anywhere and keeps pacing around the house.

Aw, bless him. How far do you walk him on his daily walk?

Aw, bless him. How far do you walk him on his daily walk? We're usually out for about an hour, I only take him once a day. To be honest I should probably walk him twice now we're actually allowed out more - I was just wary of too much exercise in one go when we were only allowed once a day because of his dodgy elbow! When he comes to work he usually would have 3 or 4 30min walks split through the day with resting. He's just not at all used to being sat around at home all day! I saw my neighbors dog walker out back at work yesterday. alfiemummy are you back at work now too? At the moment I'm planning to go back to work some time next week. If it wasn't for my mum's operation (tomorrow) I'd have gone back this week, but I'm waiting til after she's had it and will see how her recovery goes before I set an official date. I've been sorting things out to prep for going back though (ordering PPE and writing up guidelines). I wasn't at all looking forward to going back as the original guidelines for professional dog walkers were that you had to walk all the dogs individually, but the guidelines were updated yesterday and we're now allowed to mix dogs from different households so long as you take precautions So will be glad to get back - although I'll be quiet for a while as only a handful of clients responded to me asking if I'd be needed yet!

Fingers crossed for your Mum tomorrow, alfiemummy. I'll be thinking of you. Hope all goes well in getting back to work. Out of interest, where do you order your PPE from? I got my sewing machine out last week and made a couple of face masks for me and OH, but could do with some more so we have one while the other is being washed.

I just ordered some neck gaiters to use as face masks as they'll be useful to me even after the virus, I got 4 from an independent seller on Amazon. I also ordered 2 pairs of riding gloves (cotton with grippy palms) from an equestrian shop on eBay as I use these for handling long lines (we're not allowed to let dogs off lead). And I ordered some disinfectant from VetUK - conficlean2 for the van cages and anywhere I touch at client houses, plus some leucillin to spray the dogs down before I take them home. Anything else I need I already had βΊοΈ
