Its the same time and time again, you have never been happy there , its making you ill, best thing you can do is LEAVE. He is breaking the law, sounds like he is not running the business as he should. Are you on minimum wage ? if so is it the correct amount as that recently changed. Best advice I can give you is get your bum down the C.Advice and have a chat with them. All four of us have TOLD him time and time again it's against the law to not give wage slips, withhold holidays or dictate when we can take them.....just a shame it's not against the law to be an arrogant p*g!!! Jackie has only been paid ONCE for her holidays despite us telling him it's against the law. I finally got 6 months' wage slips last month because I DEMANDED them After Stephen, the manager, left in August 2017 Suga was ok with me and trained me up properly in the post office and it was fun being at work. That lasted about a year then last autumn he just started being a total numpty and started messing folks about etc. But since Neil refused to let me go back a day early from my holiday he's REALLY had it in for me and what started as the occasional headache has become a permanent fixture I honestly thought after the last witch I worked for this new boss would be better but no, obviously not I know for a fact I won't be going back. We've worked out our finances and we can live on Neil's wages ok whilst I look for a better job elsewhere. It's handy having a husband who works in the job centre (albeit as security, not on a desk) as he's picked up a bit of info about what folk are entitled to etc. Will ring CAB first thing and book an appointment there too.

Well done @gillykat, that's a big step in the right direction and I'm sure, a weight off your shoulders.

I think I'll feel better once doctor phones tomorrow and I see where to go from that....on the sick or just quit. My problem has always been that I'm too soft, have zero self-esteem (thanks to a hyper-critical mother! ) and I give folks far too many chances - I should know by now that if they poop on you once they'll do it again and again It's a shame it's come to this because I genuinely DO enjoy the job....love working on the post office counter, love the shop side, we have great customers and I really thought I could stay there till I retired. The working hours were perfect for getting a dog too as I only worked 5 - 9pm on Wednesday and longer shifts at weekends (when Neil is off). It was just the constant criticism and feeling I was banging my head against a brick wall that's done it....he's as changeable as the weather! Felt REALLY tired this morning so at 11am gave up fighting it, put the electric blanket on, took some painkillers and Isla and I went back to bed.....and slept till 2.30pm!!!! Feel much better now....especially after taking her for a walk across THe Pastures and meeting her previous owner's sister walking a friend's dog. As Isla takes notice of her we were able to let her off the lead and she had SUCH a good gallop Came back to us tongue out and sides heaving.....and she's now conked out on her bed It's the first chance she's had to be off the lead since I got her eight days ago so it'll have done her good

I had a similar present from Flirty on the bedroom floor, and again this morning on the landing floor. And Jasper's gift is a very sore and swollen paw, So thanks for the worry Jasp! Don't know how he's done it, but he's taken the skin off one of his pad. So he's to have it bathed with salt water and given Loxicom and "try" and keep it covered as much as possible. Hows Jasper doing now ? , yesterday Beau ended up at the vets , I let him out , heard the usual yapping, thought hes seen a cat I had just taken a cuppa into the lounge , next I know hes come running in and straight into his bed ( in the lounge ) then I spotted bloody foot prints all over the carpet, all thru the hall, out thru the kitchen and lobby , and patio. Left hind , 2nd toe, nail pointing upwards, managed to get the last appointment 5pm , hes snapped the nail right at the base , so 2 injections and a bandage , told 50% chance it will detach and drop off, if it dont then hes to be sedated and have it removed Jasper's doing a lot better thanks. I tried everything to cover it but nothing would stay on. anyway as a consequence he now has a very pink paw. ( any one got any suggestions on how I can get it back white?) This is the fourth thing since Christmas. 1st he did his hip, 2nd his anal glands got infected again, 3rd thing he ripped his dew claw off, (no vet visit this time) and now his pad. Please no more! I don't think my nerves can take it.

The pink paw is down to the licking I believe ? just staining. Sorry to hear that hes no better ? How do you stop them from getting to their paw ? no idea, they always manage to get to it some how. Time before this, when he damaged his paw on a Sunday , took him to vets , paid premium rates, he ripped the bandage off within 3 hours , prob due to fact nurse was not a good bandager ? but fingers crossed we are still in tact, 2 days to go before im allowed to cut it off.

Sorry to hear about Beau's paw, scallywag! Pepper has also been at the vets this week due to limping badly on her left hind leg! Vet diagnosed a pulled muscle and prescribed Meloxaid and rest for a few days so we'll see how she is by Friday. She did a very good job of pretending there was nothing wrong while at the vets yesterday as she ran around the exam room, stood on her hind legs to look at the nurse over the desk and jumped onto the scales!

Well....went along to doctor and she's agreed that the headaches & sickly-churning-stomach-nausea seem to definitely be work-stress related so has put me on the sick for 2 weeks. Neil took my shop keys and sick note straight round to the shop and gave them to my boss. Got home and took Isla for a long walk and feel like a ton weight is off my shoulders

Nothing to worry about for 2 weeks! Enjoy getting back to feeling normal. You can really get to know Isla.

Yes the pink paw is down to him licking it constantly, just wish I knew how to get rid of the staining. He still has a bit of pink on his hip from Christmas too.

Silly me! I was in work yesterday and the boys had gone out to do a job in the afternoon. My bosses son came back and asked me what I was still doing there - "It's only nearly 5 to 5, I replied" - it's not he said, it's nearly 20 past 5! My clock had stopped and I was carrying on working - if he hadn't come in I might not have notice until it was getting dark!!! I have the radio and usually hear the pips for 5pm but yesterday it was playing up and kept going down in volume so I missed it. I usually have to pick my daughter up on the way home but luckily she had a day off work.

Happens to the best of us when we are busy at work Lotsofcats. I now set my phone alarm clock to go off about 10-15 mins before I need to start to pack up at work (if I am main staff on) only way I make sure I leave on time
