We've had 4 nights of it difficult to say which was the worst, tonight was the noisiest but not as long as other nights. tonight Roman was on the sofa with me, once Lexie finished trying to wash both Roman & me, she went up to our bedroom & I found her in the enclosed bed in a corner of the room but quite calm whilst Osiris was on the floor of the bedroom at the floor of the bed. As soon as I started their tea they all appeared. Once finished Roman went up on to our bed, Lexie was in her room & Osiris was in the living room with me until he got a bit irritated at being kept in. then he was plaintive, Lexie came down but Roman stayed. I let them have access to the outside about 10 & Osiris was quickly out but it was a while before Roman shifted. I don't think Lexie went out but both boys were back by midnight. Somehow I think the worst thing for Osiris is being kept in.

Nice to see you back on here boxerluver30. Enjoy your last year in uni. Nice that you are going to get a rescue cat - what will happen to it when you finish uni? Also nice to see you back on here orpheous87. Great idea with the treats for the dogs when a firework bangs. My cats are not too bothered about the fireworks and Kobi totally ignores them, thank goodness!

Good luck with it cazypops! I started giving my lot treats any time there was a noise (marked it first with a 'good') because they used to charge at the window, barking. Now they don't do it, and the treats they get are tiny - which is good because I used a lot last night lol. Pepper & Ellie are getting puppy treats and Cody gets Charlie Little ones. They don't care how small they are, they just like getting a reward for basically doing nothing lol.

Alfie ignores them too thankfully - he sleeps through the whole thing unless there are any that are insanely loud that make the whole house shake and then he will bark at it for a bit before settling down to ignore them again lol. I was dog sitting on Friday night which wasn't so fun! Alfie didn't bat an eye but the staffie I was looking after was very unsettled, panting alot and very clingy I'm just glad it was only the one night, she originally wanted me to do the Sunday but the town's organised display was on the Sunday literally just over the road, so I refused and we compromised on Friday instead!

Me and my friend are house sharing and renting this place. So when we eventually get a cat he/she will still be with us

Well thankfully Elsa is not phased by the fireworks 😊 we wasn’t sure how she would react with it been her first time to hear them , but we have tried to keep things as normal as possible and not react to them 😊not that easy when you have Riley shaking and panting when he hears the slightest little pop. Elsa can’t understand why Riley is reacting that way - bless her she sits really close to him and nibbles at his fur 😊 Although Riley has been sedated when they have been really bad ☹️We are trying to manage him when we suspect there will only be a few going off but it’s not easy with him ☹️I suspect Saturday evening will be bad again so I will give him some pills I think? Every little noise he hears he thinks it is a firework.
Elsa was satisfied with a nice smokey bacon bone and I got Riley a licky mat which we put some squirty cheese on and it’s meant to help anxiety issues by licking 😊

Every little noise he hears he thinks it is a firework. 😊 Talking to my sister whos labradoodle is like Riley, she said that the nutracalm drops are instant where as she found the tablets less efective. I have the tablets but might invest in the drops if they are as good as she say chantel

Sorry I have not been on in ages. Finally work is tailing off for the season. Just one shift a week for a couple of weeks to cover colleague in shop who is having a holiday. I feel I need a break but give it a month and I will want to be back at work! Sadly weather has deteriorated terribly here so now feels like we need noahs ark!

Had a great time today meeting friends 4 month old GSP puppy. Other than walk did not do a lot today! Hopefully will start kicking off the cold soon. Working on Wednesday so hopefully it will be gone by then. Back to vets tomorrow for laser therapy for Gypsy and babysitting mums dog for a few days.
