Oh Sharon! I hope all goes well with Dave & the new meds & for your appointment tomorrow Thankyou Toni, Dave is the worst cat ever to give tablets to, it takes three attempts each time I give him one, he has to have two per day. They are working slightly at the moment, but not brilliant, will have to just see how he goes on after a few more days. I can also breath a sigh of relief now too, I had my appointment today, I was referred to the breast clinic on an urgent appointment, luckily the lump is benign but you can imagine how worried I have been. I have celebrated with some choccie.

Good grief Sharon, you are having a time of it! Glad the lump is benign no wonder you celebrated with chocolate! Hope the meds really do improve Dave. Giving cats tablets isn't fun Penny & Osiris are our worst ones. Luckily roman & Lexie will take them easily.
Wishing Dave well.

Thanks Elaine, no I hadn't heard of them, they look good and would be much better, at the moment I am squashing a tablet in a little piece of cat food and then putting it in his mouth and holding his jaws together until he has swallowed, if i just give him it wrapped in the meat he still manages to spit the tablet out so I have to keep his jaws held shut but it is quite a messy job.

Thankyou Toni, Jenny and Andrena, I felt like a weight had lifted from my shoulders when I was told it was benign. Dave is much better, he is eating again and his breathing is much better too, still noisy and he still has to go steady but his meds are working well today. We have had a worrying time today though as Kevins Mum was rushed to hospital, she has COPD and is very poorly. Things can only get better. On a nicer note we are going for a meal with my daughter and 30 others on Sunday for her 30th birthday. And then we are on a diet as from Monday.

Glad to read that Dave's meds are improving his breathing but really sorry that Kevin's mum is in hospital, hope she improves.
You've certainly had a rollercoaster ride this last month or so. Enjoy your daughters birthday do, sounds fun.

So glad the lump is benign. You are having a hellish time of it at the moment. I hope everything works out ok with Kevs mum and Dave. It's always the awkward cats that need tabletting! I use the toothpaste Elsa loves and put the tablet in the nozzle so it comes out with the paste. She laps it from the nozzle and tablet is not even noticed! X x

Thankyou Toni, we are looking forward to the meal.
Vonnie that's a good idea with the toothpaste nozzle. Today I put daves tablet in a bit of cat meat then popped it in his mouth, he struggled and kept trying to stick his tongue out, and ended up throwing his meat out of his mouth and keeping the tablet. Bless him, he's not the brightest button in the box isn't our Dave lol

Oh Sharon, that does paint a picture of Dave - probably thought he'd beaten you when you stopped trying to feed him a tablet!
