I downloaded the above programme with out any issues...and able to watch it with out having a prompt to insatll the player. What about un installing the iPlayer then doing a fresh install-or have you done so already?

Failing that----un install Chrome and re-install it. I had to un install Chrome a few weeks back due to the fact some add-ons had hi-jacked my browser and couldn't get shot of them-so had to un install chrome and then download and install it again might be an option that will work...but it's up to you if you want to go down that road. The player might respond to that---maybe

Thanks tingler, I've tried uninstalling iPlayer & then installing through Chrome but no joy so had to do it through IE again. Not sure I've tried uninstalling & re-installing Chrome. However its not really an issue for me, just kick myself when I forget to use IE to go to the download option

I mainly use opera but I do use google chrome too sometimes
