I'm only on this one, I don't have the time for other forums plus the other ones I've seen I am not keen on their layouts etc.

I'm only active on this one. However I did find out yesterday that I had an account on dogforums when I tried to make an account yesterday. I don't even remember signing up! I used to be an active member of Labrador Forums when I had Buddy. You had to pay £10 a year to post though, so when he died I stopped going on and didn't renew my subscription :/ I think one of the people that was featured In The Mini Poodle puppy buyers guide was on LF as she had both

I have to say, I tried a lot of other forums, but dailypuppy was the only other one I thought was any good. It's recently gone downhill so I keep in contact with the members on Facebook now instead of on there. Too much spam and not enough good chat. I will always favour YD (YP) hence why I was so upset when everything changed. I love all the people on here, even if we have our differences from time to time Somehow this forum over any others has managed to stay spam free without being too heavily monitored and controlled. It is the best forum I've been on, and I've been on my fair share! In relation to what some others have said about not feeling welcome on other forums (and I've told this story a million times) I was on another forum I liked (but it was quite cliquey) until I mentioned in passing that we wanted to breed from Monty because he is from German lines and it is good to bring in 'new blood' (and he has 0% inbreeding coefficient, good eyes, ears, hips etc) and the whole forum turned on me because he has no show qualifications, some of them using the definition of a backyard breeder to compare me to. Anyway long story short, I think I'll stick to this forum (where people actually know what they're talking about..)

The Dogs Monthly forum for me is good... but it has gone 2 entire days and nights without another single post from the 2 days before I think we are all lucky to have this forum to be on

I'm only on this forum I joined a Border Collie forum ages ago, but soon deleted my account as they were not a friendly community.. did not feel welcome at all. bectilThat reminds me to mention the Border Terrier forum I joined last Easter but ended up deleting my account. I might go back some time in the future, but for then I just didn't feel welcome at all; I felt pushed out if anything.

I'm also on reptile forum. Mostly for the exotics (Corsac foxes and Patagonian Mara for example of my current wish list! Not likely to happen buuuut....) but also whatever's happening and bird advice giving. x x

Unfortunately anyone can obtain exotics, not everyone understands what it takes to care for them. Some exotics arent too bad but some like marmosets are easily obtained. I am against endangered species being kept as pets, only zoo type places or specially licensed folk should keep them with monitored breeding plans. That and nothing should ever be taken from the wild for pet purposes obviously! Luckily I have a lot of knowledge and exotic experience although it's still unlikely I'll ever keep either. Funnily enough rabbits and guinea pigs are classed as exotic! Basically anything that isn't 'domesticated'- dogs and cats!
