The hat is very cool! I didn't realize that you and Bextull knew each other!! I think thats great! A lot of dog forum members will know DLG (Doglovingal), well anyway she has't joined the new forum yet - even though she knows that the old one has closed down, etc, etc, but yeah me and DLG are very close friends!! Went to school together but I have moved away now and moved schools!! I still visit DLG regularly though!

Lovely photo of you and your furball, TT! I am seriously considering a Labradoodle when I am older as well, TT, any disadvantages of the breed? I have always loved the breed and their personality, I love BIG dogs too, much prefer them to smaller dogs (I grew up with Akitas, GSD's, Dobermans, Rotties and Mastiffs). Any information would be very grateful!

Where to start? They're very intelligent (they can get bored and get destructive so you have to keep them stimulated) They are absolutely mental as youngsters - extremely bouncy, over-exuberant. All training goes out the window at about 2 years. They are excellent family dogs when socialized, but are very loyal and can are really one-person dogs (Tilly is anyway) They excell at dog sports and thrive on training. They can suffer from Hip Dysplasia, allergies & other joint issues. The coats are unpredictable (unless you get an Australian Labradoodle or F4) The sizes are unpredictable (as above) Tilly was sold as a 'Miniature Labradoodle' and is now 28" to the shoulder and around 40kg. The curly/fleecy coats need ALOT of grooming. I personally love the 'breed' and would certainly have another one (but only a standard - love the biggies) and I would only get an F1 (Where they have smooth/wavy/really weird coats like Tilly lol) Barb at the Labradoodle Trust has loads of info: www.labradoodletrust.com/
