Hello all! I am new on this forum and I wondering if anyone have tried to feed their cats on raw food? I have seen good and bad comments on this subject and would like to have more advise. We fed our kittens raw for a while & they thrived on it. However, it became too much hassle & quite expensive so we switched them back to cat food. Saying that they still get raw, just not as often. Raw feeding cats is pretty simple and it is a great natural diet for them. You need to make sure they get enough taurine, and give them a good variety of meats. Maybe if you are considering going raw try reading a few good books? That's probably the best way to decided whether it is going to suit you & your cats.

I am wondering if there are raw food suppliers on the market for my cats to try, any suggestions? I will surf the net but if anyone is currently using a good quality meat then I would be interested to hear about it.

Hi all...
Ive been weighing Boo and he is just over 1kg . He will be 12 weeks friday so im hoping hes put on enough. I have his appointment for his second vaccination tue so will see what the vet will say then. Im guessing he will only b a small cat as hes eating playing and into everything and seems very happy. I will not mind either way... Has anyone else had a kitten who is only small ? Xx

Hope all goes well for Boo on tuesday and the vets approve his weight increase. Don't know about kittens but our adult cats range from 3.6Kg to 5.6Kg, there is quite a difference in size so presumably this will apply to kittens weight gain. So long as she's not to thin etc. then the vet should be happy, I would have thought. As you say she could well be just going to be a small cat, but I'm definitely not a n expert on kittens, far from it.
