OMG! It's bad at the moment. The wind is blowing the heavy rain sideways. We just had hailstones. Toffee went out when it was ok at 9am. The cats are all hiding in the cat shed. When it eases off a bit I'll get them back in. I'm worried about the perspex roof in the pen. The lights are flickering.
What's it like where you are?

A tree blew down and our electricity was off from 12 until 7. I was reading by torchlight. The wind blew my black refuse bin over and it's full to the top with bags of cat litter and very heavy.

Blustery winds and it has never stopped raining all day ☹️Riley was pacing for most of the night with the blustery winds blowing on the windows. By the time I got up this morning the black bin was on its side with rubbish blowing down the path 😮everyone’s rubbish was just blowing all over.
No dog walk today it was far too dangerous plus they would have both got soaked through and it would have took me most of the day to get them dried off and groomed.
I nipped out to the shops in the car and there was a flood at the bottom of the road. A couple of roads have even been closed. Hope the wind and rain calms down tomorrow- stay safe everyone.

It's very peaceful this morning but I've just looked at the weather forecast and it's heavy rain and windy from 11am onwards. I've got all of the cat blankets out of the pen on the line, everything was soaked, even the 2 off the top outside shelf that never get wet. The Perspex roof stayed on but didn't half make some noises where the wind was getting under it. I can imagine how long it takes to dry your two chantel. That's the one good thing about Kobi, he only takes a minute or two to dry.

Was very windy and wet here yesterday, though when I braved it to walk the girls, it had stopped raining so we went a bit further than I'd planned. Today has been just as windy, but much less wet!

Had a calmer day wind wise but the rains been incessant all day just stopped now for the wind to pick up again apparently it’s going to be quite bad over night really very worried for my little apple tree - had a drama yesterday with the rain it was raining so hard & the wind was battering it against the house I noticed it was actually raining in my living room - I have a set of big double glass doors at the back that lead onto a patio & the rain was getting through at the top i had to get some towels down & pray it would stop. Had to leave it & go out for my nieces 5th birthday party which took forever to get there I was rerouted so many times because of fallen trees 😔 Anyway got onto the landlord this morning who sent a man out & agreed the doors needed to be changed & now he’s sending someone else back to seal them temporarily 🤦🏻♀️ in meantime my poor carpet & wallpaper are ruined with the never ending rain I’m so glad for insurance x

Love the new avatar Jenny Thank you. It's Willow when she was a different colour! She changed colour a lot when she was a kitten. Here's a pic of when she had all silver through her coat and she was short haired. She started off long haired, then went short haired for a bit and then back to long haired, also changing colours - she obviously couldn't make her mind up. on Flickr

Thank goodness you have insurance molly9. I hope it all gets sorted out for you soon. Is the apple tree okay? Trees still up 🙏 lotsofcats but more wind forecast hopefully it stands strong not such good news with the insurance I’m covered for storm damage but not rain 🤷🏻♀️does rain not come with a storm & I’m pretty sure it’s not meant to rain in the house but this was an exceptionally bad storm and apparently I must’ve of known the doors were faulty so I’m in full blown complaint mode now what’s the point of paying for insurance 😤
