I remember Roman when he had his buster collar on, it took him a while to sort out eating tidily, as he was also in a cage the space was also an issue.

So heartless someone would even think to humiliate their cat.

It's awful, why not just invest in a soft one or remove it so the poor cat can enjoy its food?

migsy, in our case Roman grazes his dry so we couldn't remove his cone, although we did for his main meal times of moist. He quickly learnt to put his cone over the whole bowl & it worked well. We didn't get a soft cone as the op was only planned the day before & we had no experience of the cones. We didn't have time to buy a soft one. However although the photo is not the most flattering of the cat it does highlight the issues involved in wearing a buster collar & I suspect the original photographer only took one to record what happened to their cat, for all we know they may well have taken the collar off subsequently when they realised what was happening & that their cat couldn't cope or the cat learnt to deal with it. It is the person who edited it to add FAIL that really makes the image both potentially humourous &/or unkind depending on your viewpoint.

I would like to add, reading tonib post, made me think, and want to say I did not edit the photo, when I initially saw it I smiled, bought back memories for me and mine. Apologies for any offence caused, was not intended

No offence. It made me smile too. I don't think they let the cat struggle after taken the picture.
