This is what the Internet told me snapping turtles can eat:
Snapping turtles can eat earth or blood worms, turtle pellets, live fish, crawfish(that are smaller than your turtle), and occasional soggy dog food, cooked chicken, and raw ground beef.

Should you not have researched what to feed a snapping turtle before you got one? It's good that you're asking for help now, but as far as I'm aware, no one else (who regularly posts) on the forum has these animals, so they're just going to look on the internet anyway.
If I were you, I'd look on a specific forum or at least a reptile forum, as they will be able to give far more specialised advice.

well I did research before and since this was a reptile topic I thought reptile people would have a better answer and isn't this website for all pets Avansa?

Your right wildgirl this is a forum for all pets but as Avansa says we, unfortunately for your query, don't have many reptile users as yet & those we do have don't post that often. I hope someone can help you further your knowledge. However I like to read about other pets as well as cats (which it what I have). Well there's one or 2 I'm not keen on spiders & snakes are my failing - I cringe, not quite a phobia but close! I know they are harmless , not slimy or any combination but I can't help it!

The guts of salt water fish (like tuna and mackeral) contain an enzyme called thiaminase which binds to thiamine (vitamin b1) rendering it inert. This can lead to a deficiency in vitamin b1 so salt water fish are best avoided.
