I'm Toni & have 4 rescue cats aged 4-14. Unfortunately I've no experience of snapping turtles. Hope someone can help.

Hi welcome to the forum I am BT for BorderTerrier and have one Border Terrier called Earl, several Pond Fish and a group of Tadpoles. Unfortunately I don't have any advice for you here. Hope someone can help.

Well wildgirl I've never owned a turtle but I'm guessing if it's handled since a baby then yes, it probably will become tame with people. My neighbour has a tortoise which I look after sometimes while they're on holiday - the method you suggested worked for them so why not your turtle? Hope this helps!
