An interesting program. Misty thought so too. Pauline, I tried PB but after get links, the IMG code (and all the others) stay light grey and I can click forever but they don't respond so I never see copied.
Wanted to get Misty watching the program on the forum. Can you help again? Thank you.

Great photo Elly! So - according to "Little Cat Diaries" Unlike babies and dogs, our cats don't miss us if we are replaced by another human being. Erm .....No..... Not sure I believe that ( but then I would say that wouldn't I ). Otherwise great programme!

I know when i had my Oscar he only liked my partner and myself - anyone else who came into the house was a stranger danger to him. lol I believe cats are far too complex and unique to ever be put into such simple genres.

Misty watched it for the full hour. I don't agree that cats don't miss us. Not in general. Some like their house more than the people, but my cats cling to me and disappear when another human visits. Perhaps in the long run when they are rehomed. I'm not inclined to try it. I think only my Tosha is easy as long as she gets her food. Haven't seen the diary program yet.

Watched the second episode and thought how typical of us cat owners that that lady wanted to adopt the stray. I didn't think the attachment experiment they did was valid. It was designed by John Bowlby for human babies and I am not convinced it is valid cross species. All dog owners know that your dog is excited to see you when you get home, it's an endearing feature of dogs. Cats' attachment or affection isn't so uniformally demonstrated across the species as it is with dogs.

I thought it was great! The camera work was fab, and its really interesting seeing all the cats going about their daily business. The cat at the end going in and out of peoples houses eating their cat food was hilarious!

All dog owners know that your dog is excited to see you when you get home, it's an endearing feature of dogs. Cats' attachment or affection isn't so uniformally demonstrated across the species as it is with dogs. Yes, i have been thinking about that too. Molly has become more and more attached to me over the years and she certainly greets me when I come home with what I can only explain as - joy. I have to give her a huge fuss/cuddle and then she will eat her food and go to the toilet - none of these things she will do when I am out!! We play hide and seek. If she is distracted by eating or washing, I will go and hide. It is not long before she starts SCREAMING (as is her thing) and she comes to find me. Terry (hubby) says that if I am out and he is there she goes around looking for me. So I don't think they can generalise like that with cats. Plus maybe the cats they used were very young and yes playing is important to them hence the reason they didn't miss their owner. I know Cia commented that she feels similar to me. What do you all think? Thank you.
