How do your cats get along with children??? Charlie hates them. When our cousins come over (aged 8,5 and 1) he is nowhere to be found or else he is hiding in my room. Morandi on the other hand is all over them. He loves the attention. He doesn't mind them chasing after him and once he rubbed up against the 1 year old and accidenty pushed him over! I think they are too hyper for Charlie because he doesn't mind when my friends come over.Once my sisters friend stayed over and was sleeping on the airbed but Charlie bet him too it, a staring match ensued and Charlie won !!!

Frankie is ok. At first he can be a bit nervous of young children running around (when I and my cousin were younger) but once they've been there 10 minutes he's great! He doesn't mind new people in general whether they're adults or/and children. The thing he wouldn't tolerate would be rough handling or a person generally annoying him, then he would growl and probably scratch them.

Roman & Osiris don't like any visitors and immediately go out as soon as they realise there's someone n in the house. Penny keeps herself well clear initially but may be sociable on occasions but definitely not with children (the only children who visited were extremely hyperactive!) Lexie is wary initially but then becomes very friendly but not sure how she's react with children not seen her with any.

Freddie and Darcy are fine with little children though children don't visit often. Bonnie isn't too keen but then when I got her she was very very timid. Eldest sometimes brings the little lad she nannies round at first Bonnie would run and hide!!!!! Now she'll let him near here. Must say he is very good with her gets down on the floor and speaks softly to her at first!!!! Then he'll forget and get noisy and Bonnie will leg it!!!!

Misty and Tom run and hide too. Adults and children alike. Tosha let every man stroke her and jumps on their lap. Women can occasionally stroke her. That goes for me too. The stroking I mean; I don't jump on a man's lap.

When they are out in the cat pen and my next door neighbour's grand-daughter is visiting she looks over into the pen at the cats and they just stare at her.

HaHa!!! You would have loved my jobs then?? Nursery nurse in a school with 3 & 4 year olds. And then Running a Pre-School for 2 to 5 year olds. I use to come home most days sticky!!! Glue, snot, food & other stuff of unknown origin?!? Children are indeed VERY sticky and they like to share. And to stay on topic, Gerri the 15year old cat stays out of the way. Bailey will come up if they are not to loud but I'm always worried she will lose her manners and hit out with her claws?!?!
