I can remember moving over to this forum.
Dog lot were always good at 'heated debate' on the old forum, it sort of fizzled out!
Think we lost a few of the influential members when the move happened!

So sorry to hear about Gypsy caz2golden. What a great age to get to for a large dog. We are here if you want to talk about it. R.I.P. beautiful Gypsy. I lost my oldest cat Bramble (nearly 17) on 8th November and it was a great help to have the support and care of the forum members.

Nice to hear from you caz2golden but so sorry it is with such sad news. Gypsy lived to a really good age which is testament to the love & care you gave to her & Phoebe. it doesn't matter how long or short we have our pets for, they are always sorely missed once it is their time to leave us and we grief for the loss of their physical presence but know they will always be with us in our hearts & memories. How is Phoebe coping with the loss of her companion of so many years (12?)? thinking of you & your family at his sad time RIP beautiful Gypsy young & whole again waiting & playing with old & new friends at Rainbow Bridge.

So sorry to hear about the sad news of Gypsy caz2golden 🥲but like lotsofcats stated it’s a great age for a larger breed of dog. Riley is 11 on the 1st of January and Elsa will be 6 on the 13th January how time just flies by us - we have to cherish every minute with our furbaby’s they are so precious. R.I.p. beautiful Gypsy 🙏🥰

I remember alot of the older from the original forum, still friends with some on FB. Back then I had Buddy and Mary (still have Buddy) and had lots of laughs and tears.

Phoebe has not obviously missed Gypsy, but went through stage of barking in middle of the night!
