Hope the upped tablets do the trick & that the bp check on the 9th shows an improvement scruffsmaz. Poor boy having to have more blood tests shame they can't do it all on the same day, or is at different places? No not different places but he stresses out having his blood pressure done and we didn't want him too stressed out having his bloods taken as he has to have 2 lots done in a space of an hour. If the bloods come out ok his next blood Check will be in 3 months and if their ok it'll be done every 3 months after that. With his blood pressure he doesn't like the cuff being pumped up on his leg and he stresses out and he also gets bored because they try and get 3 readings from his and that could take up to half an hour or more depending on how still alf will be.

Sadly alf has to came off the vetoryl for 7 days the bloods has come back saying there doing more harm than good he will go on a lower dose in a week. Hes very poorly at the minute as the vetoryl I'd too high and made him ill so he's had an antibiotic and a steroid injection.

Sending lots of collie cuddles to you and Alfie. X Just to lower the dose and back to square one with the blood tests. He has one at 10 to 14 days after he starts his tablets then 28 days after that then hopefully 3 months onwards. Firstly I'm concentrating on getting him better it looks like he might be back in tomorrow as there is no change with him at the minute.

Well I had to rush alfie back in the vets again today he didn't improve vets are really concerned that he's not eating or drinking. I have to keep a close eye on him if he drops as low as he did he'll have to be rushed back in he might have to go on a drip. If he improves he'll be back in on Thursday for electrolytes blood test which he's had today too. The only thing he will eat is ham at the minute so we have bought plenty for him.

We got really worried as the vet was talking about putting him on a drip if the bloods didn't come out reasonable today. If he goes down hill again I have to rush him back in. He's back in on thursday for more bloods just to keep an eye on him

Its very had for you , we are all on lookers by hearing. I have been in a situation where my vet wanted to give up on our Tobiroo . He was in the veterinary hospital for 7 weeks, and was not looking like he was coming home. The weekend vet covering tgat weekend called us and asked for permission to put Tobi on a feeding tube , we agreed , long story short , we were trained up on feeding him thru the tube and he was allowed home. It was a tough time. I never had children , but ( found out what I missed ) , feeding Tobi every 2 hours 24/7 for several weeks , thru this tube ( pulverised food ) well we got another 2 years love and affection from him. We got to the bottom of what was going on. Pancreatitis is what took him in the end , but it was well worth those disturbed nights to get the extra 2 years. My story may not help as all ailements are different, has anyone suggested a feeding tube scruffsmaz ? HUGS XX
