If you are a cat owner who feeds them on raw food then this should be of interest it's from the May GCCF newsletter Outbreak of Tuberculosis in Cats linked to raw venisonDuring the last year over 10 cases of bovine Tuberculosis have been confirmed in indoor cats. In all these cases the cats were found to have been fed frozen raw venison. If you have been feeding frozen raw venison, especially if any of your cats become unwell, please seek veterinary advice immediately. Tell your vet that your cat has eaten frozen raw venison and that this food has been linked to recent cases of bovine TB in cats. It is very important you do this as TB is an extremely rare disease in indoor cats and your vet may not consider it as a possible diagnosis. For more information, please consult this link.

Thanks for putting this post on tonib; I hadn't even realised that cats could get TB. Anyone feeding their indoor cats on frozen raw venison would never expect it to lead to TB.
