It was a good couple of days but I was ready to come home today! Haven't seen much of the TV coverage yet, but I was in the arena for a lot of the agility and for the heel work to music on both Thursday and Friday Didn't buy a great deal this year, but got quite a lot of freebies so still had quite a haul to bring home! alfiemummy and milliepup04 did you think that there were a lot of stalls from previous year missing this year?

I have not seen any of the heelwork to music when I have tuned into TV so been watching it on the live feed. Really have enjoyed watching that. Wonder why certain companies have not gone this year orpheous87? The stalls are expensive so maybe profit vs outlay is not worth it but you would think it is worth it for being seen by the public. Hoping it is the poorer quality products that were missing over the good ones? I would come home bankrupt. I would want to see so much from breed rings to discover dogs to shopping to seeing things like the heelwork to music. Candy in a sweet shop kind of situation! (lol)

orpheous87 yes! We were disappointed that Lily's kitchen weren't there and there were a few others we were hoping to visit that were missing too! But then plenty of others that were new this year so guess we can't complain too much! We were really happy to discover Barking Bags and Gravyo which are both brand new companies. We were most disappointed with the number of stands that were only displaying products and you couldn't buy them! What's the point in that? I know the idea is they show you the product and then you either order online in bulk or go to stores and get it but if you only want to try one or two then they're missing a trick! After spending loads at crufts I'm hardly likely to go straight to a pet shop to buy that product I've probably since forgotten about. We had a fab time, saw the gundog judging in arena as well as some flyball & agility plus lots and lots of shopping! Did you know that they're not having flyball next year? I kept seeing it mentioned on their Facebook page does anyone know why? Haul pic coming soon

The heelwork to music was great, some lovely routines! Also some very strange ones that we couldn't work out in the arena. They may have come across better on the live feed though! As great as Lucy & Skiffle were, I would have liked to see Nicci Hindson win the freestyle and Lucy Heath win the heelwork to music. Skiffle is being retired from freestyle after this year though so next year may be a different story! And I have to say, Cathy Bates' routine on Friday had us all in tears simply because of the way she lost Sybil. Not sure why the companies weren't there caz2golden! Sadly there were some good ones missing! Yes alfiemummy I was disappointed that Lily's Kitchen weren't there too! I always visit their stand when I'm at Crufts and it was odd that they hadn't even mentioned on facebook or twitter that they weren't going to be there! Butchers weren't there either, which was strange. Ooh I didn't realise that some stands were only displaying products and not selling them! How strange. I know Benyfit Natural did that last year, but they seemed to have freezers full this year. Not that I bought anything from them. I've stopped using them since they're using beef offal in all the ones that are supposed to be single protein. Did you get anything from Barking Bags alfiemummy? I didn't examine them, but they do look like good bags and I am tempted to get one! Yes, we'd heard about the flyball! I'm sure I read somewhere that they've got their own association and are no longer KC governed (or something along those lines), which could be why it won't be on next year. It's a shame, it always gets a good reaction. Those lurchers were amazing to watch!

Yes we realised butcher's weren't there too when I spotted them in the show guide! Yes I had that issue with benyfit last year as I wanted just a couple to try and they didn't want to sell me any! Though he did reluctantly give me just a couple in the end. I didn't visit them this year either as I've taken Alfie off raw as his main food now. This year we wanted some treats from Barking Heads but they weren't selling them, only doing some sort of raffle. And Emma wanted to try Billy & Margot's wet food but she couldn't have that either! Emma and I both bought a barking bag we'd found out about them a few weeks before going and both really wanted one so we made a beeline for them as soon as we got there and was one of our first purchases. I used it for the first time today and really love it! Ahhhh ok that would make sense about the flyball! We saw the lurchers too, they were amazing! Emma and I were both really worried they were going to break a leg or something though they look way too fragile for flyball!

Oh and I'm pleased to report that the granny trolley made it home in one piece It was a lifesaver, we rammed it full twice, had bags hanging off the handle, stuff sitting on the top of it etc along with the bags we were also carrying! It really struggled under the weight at times but it's still alive Navigating with it was a bit lethal though.. it didn't turn very well as the legs didn't swivel so kept having to pivot and do wide turns almost crashing into everyone.. Emma and I had to tag team on certain stands as we literally couldn't get in there and didn't want to leave the loot unattended... and I won't even go into how lethal the ramps were if we'd let go of it on the way down it would have hurtled away and taken the crowds out like a bunch of skittles I think I need to get a second dog to keep up with my spending habits

Emma and I were both really worried they were going to break a leg or something though they look way too fragile for flyball! I didn't see them in the show guide, but only realised today that we didn't see them when I caught sight of the box of food I got from them last year! I visited their stand, only to spin their wheel. I won some treats and a 10% off voucher which I wouldn't be able to use anyway as I've ordered from them in the past. Oh, I thought they were selling stuff as I saw people with Barking Heads bags, but they must have had freebies in or something. How strange! Billy & Margot have sold stuff there before as I'm sure I got some food from them one year. Oh, nice! Are they worth the money then? At the minute I wear a Helsitar Training Pocket while I'm walking the dogs but sometimes a bag would be better. Haha, yes! We commented about how hard it must be on their joints etc. when they're hitting the box at that speed. Oh and I'm pleased to report that the granny trolley made it home in one piece It was a lifesaver, we rammed it full twice, had bags hanging off the handle, stuff sitting on the top of it etc along with the bags we were also carrying! I ended up using my trolley this year when I bought the food from Meat Love! I only got 6 chubs but they were bloody heavy! So out came the trolley Oh I can imagine how hard it was to negotiate! I feel like I didn't buy as much as I should have!

Yes I'd definitely say they're worth the money it has plenty of room for everything I need for walkies and then some. All depends what you want to put in it though I suppose! Emma bought some treats from Billy & Margot treats but the food wasn't for sale as they were giving our vouchers to get 20% off at Pets at Home or something!

Well done to Dylan the Villain, the beautiful Papillon for winning Crufts and to Mike the Basset Griffin Vandeen for coming 2nd. All of the final 7 were gorgeous but my 2 favourites were the ones that came 1st and 2nd.
