He has been out & about over the last 2 days interspersed with a lot of snoozing. No sign of any fights spider so fingers crossed that continues. However on Xmas morning I gave him a pouch of Applaws Tuna & Mackerel thinking he'd enjoy that. Whoops he didn't!! Wouldn't even touch the normal kibble (he has a divided bowl) & voiced his disapproval by spraying the curtains/carpet on the other side of the room A nice thank you for letting him out etc. Of course it's Sardine that he likes not Mackerel - his servant (me) should have known better. Luckily it was easy to clean up as I found it fairly quickly. When the moist was replaced he happily ate kibble & his normal wet cat food!

It's all behind you now. Hope Roman doesn't meet the other cat again. Amazing that he took his medicine himself.

Roman regularly meets the other cat dutchkitties, it only lives 3 houses away from us and is probably one of 2 prime candidates for his previous opponents in the past (the other is another ginger who lives 4 houses away from us next door to his latest nemesis. They usually avoid actual fights but I suspect Roman's absence in the cattery triggered a territorial dispute on his return. I must admit taking his own medicines was a surprise to me but then he knows he gets treats afterwards He's just about letting me look at the toe & is obviously still sore but looks OK.
